This week there are many things happening in Aviation. Here are just a few items of interest for Freeflight Aviation.
August 19th is National Aviation Day. Each year, the United States celebrate the history and development of the aviation on this day. It coincides with the birthday of Orville Wright. Orville and his brother, Wilbur, know for their flight at Kitty Hawk. In 1939 President Franklin Roosevelt proclained National Aviation Day to be August 19th.
We have a busy week ahead of us. August 17th is the Annual Atlantic City Airshow – Thunder over the Boardwalk. Prior to the Wednesday’s Airshow, there will be a parade Monday evening. “Atlantic City Salutes America’s Armed Forces Boardwalk Parade“ will start at 6 PM at NJ Avenue and the boardwalk. Wednesday’s Airshow is Freeflight Aviation’s first planned event for the month. Tickets are going Fast! August 20th is our Freeflight Annual Lobster Fest at the Flying W Airport, starting at 4 PM by the Gazebo. Lobster tickets should be Purchased by August 16th. Hamburger and Hotdog tickets can be purchased last minute. Tickets can be purchased online HERE at our event listing. All prices are posted in our online event listing.
