I’m Going to Start My Flight Training

The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) has Pratical Test Standard (PTS) requirements for all students taking flight training.  It might seem like alot of material.  It’s the challenge and fun of learning, while we, the student, progress in our flight training.  We grow as a person,  aquiring all this knowledge, learning about weather, navigation, airspace, etc., that we as student pilots really enjoy.

Did you know?

Once you get your FAA Airplane Pilot Certificate, you can add-on a Helicopter Private Pilot Privilege.
Here is what you will need to obtain a Helicopter Add-On.

  • Hold a Private Pilot Airplane Certificate, or Commercial Pilot Airplane Certificate
  • Hold a FAA Medical Certificate.  Pass an FAA Oral and Flight Test (Check Ride)
  • Obtain 20 hours of dual instruction.  Obtain 10 hours of solo practice. (Minimun Requirements)
  • An Online Syllabus for the Private Single Engine Land Add-On

ICAO Pilot License Conversions

FAR part 61.75 makes provisions for licensed foreign pilots of any ICAO member state to apply for an FAA (US) Private Pilot License, issued on the basis of your foreign license.  To apply for and activate your FAA PPL, go to the FAA Verify the Authenticity of a Foreign License, Rating, Medical Certification Page.  For a more simple explanation, we suggest visiting ICAO Pilot License Conversions.  Come visit us, and enjoy flying in the USA.
