For over nine decades, American Legion Department of New Jersey, Mount Holly Post 11 has continued to honor a pioneer of early aviation. Captain Emilio Carranza flew a mission of Goodwill to the United States, a return gesture of Charles Lindbergh’s flight to Mexico City. Some may say that like his flight, his mission had not been completed.

Civil Air Patrol
Civil Air Patrol Aerospace/STEM Education Programs bring over 40 free fun and engaging products and programs to our members in squadrons and classrooms throughout the nation. We serve adults and youth in pre-K through 12th grade.
EAA Young Eagle Program
Launched in 1992, the Young Eagles program has dedicated 30 years to giving youth ages 8–17 their first free ride in an airplane. It’s the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation.
United Aviate
United is proud to be the official airline partner of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA)’s youth education programs via Aviate. Together they are opening doors for young aviators worldwide to foster their passion and reach their aspirations.
Teen Aviation of NJ
The program is centered around the students building an actual, flying two seat experimental aircraft under the supervision and mentoring of our program mentors, with the basic philosophy being mentors teach, students build. The Teen Aviation of NJ conducts weekly sessions at the Flying W Airport in Medford, New Jersey
The WINGS – Pilot Proficiency Program is based on the premise that pilots who maintain currency and proficiency in the basics of flight will enjoy a safer and more stress-free flying experience.
The program encourages an on-going training program that provides you an opportunity to fly on a regular basis with an authorized flight instructor. The program is most effective if the training is accomplished regularly throughout the year, thus affording you the opportunity to fly in different seasons and in different flight conditions.
Our home airport, The Flying W Airport N14, now has a Youtube Channel featuring flight operations at on the Field. See our flight school aircraft taking flight, along with other local aircraft.
Since we have a DPE (Designated Pilot Examiner) on the field, you will see many aircraft (planes and helicopters) from other flight schools practicing and/or completing their checkrides.
