Keeping Current with Aviation Information

The WINGS – Pilot Proficiency Program is based on the premise that pilots who maintain currency and proficiency in the basics of flight will enjoy a safer and more stress-free flying experience.

The program encourages an on-going training program that provides you an opportunity to fly on a regular basis with an authorized flight instructor. The program is most effective if the training is accomplished regularly throughout the year, thus affording you the opportunity to fly in different seasons and in different flight conditions.

Our Home Airport’s Youtube Channel

Our home airport, The Flying W Airport N14, now has a Youtube Channel featuring flight operations at on the Field.  See our flight school aircraft taking flight, along with other local aircraft. 

Since we have a DPE (Designated Pilot Examiner) on the field, you will see many aircraft (planes and helicopters) from other flight schools practicing and/or completing their checkrides.

Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Airshow 2023

The 2023 Power in the Pines Air & Space Open House will be hosted at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst from Saturday to Sunday, 20-21 May 2023. The Golden Knights Parachute Team and F-16 Viper Demo Team are some of the performers this year.

Flight for Sight Balloon Fest

The Lions Flight for Sight Hot Air Balloon Festival will be held from June 16th through June 18th, 2023 at the Flying W airport in Medford,New Jersey. This will be a family friendly event with 15 hot air balloons, food trucks, crafters, and a kids zone. We will also have live entertainment and WWII planes on display. 96th Annual Captain Emilio Carranza Memorial

SATURDAY, JULY 8, 2023 AT 10 PM

For over nine decades, American Legion Department of New Jersey, Mount Holly Post 11 has continued to honor a pioneer of early aviation. Captain Emilio Carranza flew a mission of Goodwill to the United States, a return gesture of Charles Lindbergh’s flight to Mexico City. Some may say that like his flight, his mission had not been completed.

2023 Aerospace Camp

Aerospace camp will be August 14-18. The camp will run from 9 AM to 3 PM Monday – Friday. This event has been filled up for the season.

In setting up professional internships, not only will we be able to offer students a chance to work with industry professionals, but the students also will be able to take the theory they learn in the classroom and put it into practice here, in whichever activity they’re focused. If you are interested in aircraft, love to work on cars, or mechanically minded, this may be your chance to learn about small aircraft and work towards your Aircraft and Power Plant License. We are either looking for a part time A & P mechanic or someone who is mechanically minded (an internship), loves to work with their hands, and has no issues getting their hands greasy.
